Poetry: Day Five

Locked in my robot suit
I comb the beach
For remnants of the fleet
Left behind

Never found a clue
Never saw a trace
But I keep on walking
This beach

I can’t open my robot suit
I can’t find my people
But momentum keeps me walking
Above me, the seagulls laugh.
